Biography:

Baby Groot is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a smaller, sapling version of the original Groot. Following Groot's sacrifice in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie (2014), a sprig was planted and subsequently grew into Baby Groot.

This iteration of Groot is characterized by his childlike innocence, limited vocabulary consisting primarily of "I am Groot," and energetic demeanor. Though possessing the same inherent powers as his predecessor, such as plant manipulation and regeneration, Baby Groot is still developing his abilities.

He made his first appearance in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy, dancing to music while Drax sharpens his knives. Baby Groot subsequently appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and other MCU films.
